Christmas Day....

Our poor little tree.... everything is in storage and it started to get to close to christmas and I was to lazy to go dig out decorations so we went and bought some ribbon and some balls and called it good. I had to hurry and get a picture of the tree and presents before the kids attacked..
It was so fun to watch the kids open their presents, I am mean and actually make them take turns so we can see what each other got before it gets tossed to the side.

Aidan and Avree got a ds this year and they haven't put them down since. It is actually quiet when they are all into their games.
Preston got a paintball gun and couldn't wait to go out and shoot it. We were dog sitting again and somehow the dog ended up with green dots on him...
and of course the Snuggies.. haha! I don't know why but these things are so funny!
They even came with matching socks........
After opening up everything and cleaning up the trash we got a nice visit from Ryans parents so they could see what the kids got and we could give them their presents. Then off to my parents house for Christmas #2. The kids were spoiled like usual.

I absolutely love Christmas!

Christmas Eve...

This year we spent Christmas Eve with Angie and her family it was tons of fun. We started off by making yummy pizzas...
Not sure if this is a yuck face or a yum face!!!!!!!!

Everyone had a great time and then it was time for cookies..

After that we went out looking at Christmas lights, I think I like it more then my kids they act like it is torture, but we made it home just in time to find our pajamas from pj elf....

The kids were kinda mad that their pajamas were just pants this year so I guess we better tell Pj that we like shirts and pants (and yes those are wife beaters the boys are wearing)Ryan loved his pajamas so much that he kept them on and wore the shirt the next day too!! Gotta love "The Christmas Story" especially when it runs for 24 hours Christmas day WAHOO!

This last week we were asked to dog sit. Of course we would do it, Preston has been begging for a dog forever and whenever the pet store has the dogs out front we have to see tears. This was the perfect way to let him have a dog for awhile then give him back.

They dropped him off Wed morning, and of course he was a little nervous so he went outside and decided to roll in his poop, ok Walter was still here so he cleaned him off and left, he wanted out again so we let him out and he rolled in his poop again.. SERIOUSLY!!! We sprayed him off and got smarter and had Preston go clean the poop up (hes the one who wanted the dog, he gets to clean up after him) After awhile Preston says "this is harder then I thought" DING DING DING my plan worked!! The day went on and everyone was a little over excited so it was hard to keep them calm. Wiley is house trained and sleeps in his kennel (or Kernal says Avree) so that was a great bonus until he decided to wake up at the crack of dawn and guess who had to get up with him? But how could you be mad at the face?

Ok the rest of the week was great, he slept in, he never barked, he was the perfect little dog. We actually started to really like, the only thing is.... he eats his poop!! Gross I know I got online thinking there had to be something wrong with this dog and found out that is what tons of shih tzus do.. I guess that is how they got their name hehehe!! Anyways it was hard to let the dog give kisses.

The kids absolutely loved playing with Wiley, they would take him out and run with him forever I think we wore him out pretty good, he would even go climb in the kennel by himself and go to sleep.
Wiley is gone now, it was kinda sad to see him go, I like dogs but I dont know if I am a dog owner kind of person, I had a dog all growing up and when he died it was the saddest day ever.. So for now we are dogsitters not dog owners, but we will miss you, and your little poop eating kisses!!!

It's a Soccer Life!!!

Preston played in a competitive soccer team this year. I loved watching him! He really has a love for sports no matter what it is and he gives his all at whatever he is playing.
They didn't win any games this season but you would of never known.. They worked so hard and had so much fun together. It was a great team! Cant wait until the spring.. GO DOMINATORS!

Aidan played soccer to this year and totally kicked butt! Ryan told him he would give all the kids $1.00 per goal and I think Aidan made almost $30.00 haha! I think Ryan wont make that deal next year..
Of course the greatest thing about playing soccer is getting the trophy!
Aidan had a great team and all the kids did so good and I loved that Aidan made some new friends. GO STRIKERS!!
Soccer really isn't Avrees gift but she wanted to play so we signed her up and she had a great time!! She improved tons from 2 years ago when she chased her shadow around the center circle laughing with her tongue hanging out.. I love how she wants to play everything her brothers do.
Her team was so fun, her coach gave them a big party at the park and gave them all little gifts! The Soccer Bees were awesome!!
It was hard this year having 3 kids playing soccer, some were at the same time at different fields, some took up the whole day and some were back to back, but I wouldn't give any of it up to watch them play and love it. I am sure it will get better as they get older after they find the things they love right now we are still in experiment mode trying everything out!!

Ok so I know I am the meanest mom ever but it was too funny to not take a picture of. I went to check on Avree when I got home from work and this is what I found!! Poor girl has had a stuffy nose forever HAHA! She is so going to hate me someday but for now it is soooo worth it!!

Birthdays, Halloween and a Missing Tooth!!

I have missed tons lately so I am just shoving it all in one post not even in the right order! Oh well, just be happy I am posting. My parents took Aidan and Avree out for ice cream after their soccer games while I could get ready for my work Halloween Carnival and when they brought them to me she was missing a tooth. She said she was eating her ice cream cone and it just popped out (so much better then the torture Preston says he went through) After that Aidan decided he was done eating because he was scared his teeth were going to fall out too!
Preston had a Baseball Tournament on Halloween this year so he just decided to be a baseball player for Halloween. They got their butts kicked this trny so I am happy he got tons of candy to keep his mind off of it. He didn't want to go trick or treating this year (he is kinda wimpy and gets scared easy) but we talked him into it after all!
Here is Aidan shooting a web.... I was a mean mom this year and made the kids pick things out of the dress up box instead of buying costumes. Of course I feel bad and hit the after Halloween sales and think I made up for it.
Here is the Vampire Queen Bee... She just had to wear some vampire teeth with her costume but I have to say I think she looks so stinking adorable!
Prestons Birthday was at Sand Hollow this year! So nice to just sit back and let them play. I loved not having the stress of planning games and entertaining. Of course I told everyone that since we went to Disneyland right in the middle of Aidan and Prestons Birthdays that was going to be their party but when it gets closer you just want them to have fun so I caved and did partys.
Just a quick shot of Avree getting ready to play soccer. Her team name is the Soccer Bees.
Aidans first day of school. He could have gone to kindergarten this year and he was really ready but his birthday is the cut off so I decided to make him the oldest in the class instead of the youngest. So far so good he hasn't complained to much.

And here is Aidans birthday party that I wasn't going to have, we did a water gun party in the backyard it was tons of fun. Good thing the weather was still nice.

Free Day at Zion!!!

This last weekend we decided to take the kids up to Zion for their Free Day. I love Free! We started off the day by having lunch at the Pizza & Noodle.. Good Company not so good food!
Loving the Pink lemonade and a nice pic of the breadsticks!!

Then we decided to ride the shuttle, anything that looks like a bus is super cool and way better then a car to ride in.
We walked up to Weeping Rock, it was a nice little hike with the kids and it was fun to get a little wet for our walk down.

After all this fun, eating, hiking with tons and tons of people around Ryans notices his shoes, how in the heck did he put two totally different shoes on! Seriously how embarrassing it was so funny I couldn't stop laughing after that!
Dont you love the farmers tan to go with the totally non matching shoes... What a dork! hahaha!
After our long hike (ok it was quite short but fun to get out of town) We decided we needed ice cream.

It was such a good day hanging out with Ryan and the Kids. Our weekends are usually filled with running around saying Hi as we pass each other. It was so relaxing and I can't wait to do it again.

First Day of School

I can't believe its already the first day of school. Its hard to think that I have a 3rd grader and a 1st grader! They have been so excited for school to start. I love that they still love school. Avree woke up bright and early which I thought would be a stuggle since she sleeps in until 10am everyday, she was excited to eat school lunch and wanted me to take her to school and walk her to her class. Preston on the other hand wanted to ride the bus and didn't want me anywhere near his classroom. I did peak in just to look at him and to remind him he had a sister to pick up after school and I got the look of death. haha! Too bad I didn't have my camera ready for that but I promised him no pictures except at the house. So now its just me and Aidan.. what are we going to do all day!!! Good times for sure!

Midnight 5k

So this last weekend I ran and finished my first 5k. Yep that is 3.2 miles, not a big deal for some but for me it was like running a marathon. It was so much fun except the part when I felt like I was dying because I am sooooo out of shape.

This is a group of friends from work, we all decided to stick together and just have fun, well........
This is how it ended up, everyone ditched me.. haha! I must have been to slow for them. Poor Tami stayed with me, I think she felt guilty leaving me since she was the last one (sucka!!!) The wind was blowing so hard right in our faces.
I didn't die, and I didn't finish last. Of course it doesnt look like anyone is behind me in this pic but there really was I promise. This run is so fun they give you tons of glow stuff, most of mine fell off probably because of my speed. My time was 39.44, I was 75th out of 78 in my age group haha!!! Oh well next race is in Oct. and I can only get better RIGHT?!!!

The Graduates......

I cant believe the end of school is already here. I am really excited to have them home for the summer but also a little sad to know that they are growing up. This year I have been helping teach preschool which I am ready for a break from that. I had some great kids and I am excited to see them grow... Aidan was one of my students, he is so smart and was a super student, he is for sure ready for Kindergarten but with his birthday being Sept 1st I decided to wait another year. So this graduation was I guess just a test run for him until next year but he did a great job. He chose to sing "If all of the Raindrops" he knew all of the words and did great!!

Here is Aidan with his teacher Mrs Clark... She is a great teacher she has taught all of my kids. I have been really excited to help her this year.

Then Avree Graduated from Kindergarten..... I am so ready for all the half days and no school for Kindergarten but I am sad to see her leave all day for 1st grade. She is a great student she got 3 awards for attendance and citizenship.

Avree loves school she is a great reader and has already picked out her books for summer. She has tons of friends and loves each of them. She is very kind and I never have to worry about her in class.Avree loved her teacher, Preston had her when he was in Kindergarten and I was so excited that Avree got her too! I was hoping that Aidan would get her but she is moving to 2nd grade so I guess we will have to wait and hope they get a chance to be in her class later...

I didn't get any last day of school pics of Preston he is much to busy to be getting his picture taken. I can't believe he will be in 3rd grade, he is growing so fast. He is going to be on a tournament team for baseball this summer so I am sure that will keep us busy.

Avree's cooking Birthday Party!!

Pizza Anyone?
Today was Avrees Birthday Party..... Avree didn't want to leave anyone out so you guessed it 24 invitations went out. I thought not everyone will show up right? Right! 19 did.. What was I thinking?
We started out by making our chef hats and decorating our aprons. Then the pizza making began. We had dough, cheese, mini pepperonis, ham, olives and pineapple. I was suprised at how much pineapple and olives they used. Usually its just cheese. Only one girl said she didn't like pizza. What kid doesn't like pizza....
The kids had a blast. Ryan ended up working so thank goodness my mom and sister and niece Rylee were there to help me or I wouldn't have been able to do a thing.
The kids were so proud of themselves and loved eating them. After pizza we cleared the table and decorated cupcakes..
The kids were so cute while they decorated their cupcakes they were so careful. I didn't even have a big mess to clean up which was nice, they ate everything in site.

Avree had a great party, she loved all her presents and was so happy that most of her friends made it. Of course next year I am thinking a small family party will be fine. I am pooped!

I can't believe Preston is already 8, it is amazing how fast time goes by.. I remember saying I can't wait until he can walk and talk and then all of a sudden he is 8.

Preston took karate over the summer so he wanted to have his birthday there, it was great all I had to do was show up, they did all the games, pizza, gift bags and he even got to cut the cake with a samarai sword.

So what happens when you when you turn 8...... you have a great party then it baptism time. Preston was so excited to be baptized. We loved having all of our family here with us.

I am so proud of Preston for making the choice to be baptized, after he was baptized Ryan said they were in the dressing room and Preston said "Dad, I do feel cleaner, and wet" not sure if he meant that in a spiritual way or the I just took a bath way.

After the baptism we went to our chapel and had a buffet of ice cream. Who wouldn't want ice cream for dinner. We got to have a lot of friends and family join us so it was a perfect day.

Preston is a great kid, he is kind and considerate. He is always wanting to make his friends and family happy. He is a great big brother, Avree and Aidan both look up to him and love to copy everything he does. I am so blessed to be his mom and I love watching him grow each and every day.

So since Monday Traci and I have been stalking Sione and Filipe from the Biggest Loser, they are teaching a boot camp at the rec center. We have had such big plans to take their picture but everytime we saw them we got nervous. The first day we were sitting on the couch and they came out and sat on the couch right next to us, Traci tried to make small talk but it didn't lead to anything. We went home and tried to get ourselves ready for day two, again we just watched thru the glass and giggled. We did talk to Sione's wife she was super sweet and was very friendly. OK OK we only had one day left, today we talked to each other and decided even if it was a pic of their back we were going to do it. We watched thru the glass and this guy came out and Traci asked him if he was liking the camp, he talked to us for awhile and gave us the strength to just do it. WHY WERE WE SUCH WIMPS!!!??? So their boot camp was over and we were staring again thru the glass when our new friend waved us in, we stood in line and did it we got our pictures taken. They were so nice and you can tell they just love people, it turned out that our new friend was a relative and he was the one sponsoring their whole tour. Anyways I still feel a little giddy I love these guys.

Last night was the championship game for Prestons little league and WE WON!!!! It was a great game. Final score 14-11. All season I was a good parent not concerned about winning or losing just wanted everyone to have fun. All of a sudden the tournament started and I became "one of those parents" I was so nervous, I had a stomach ache and couldn't eat. I was yelling at everyone to get the ball, or quit playing in the dirt, pay attention.. WOW!!! I am happy the season is over. I don't think I am going to be a very good sports mom. But we did win and we get to attend the closing ceremony on Friday. I am so proud of our team and we had a great coach. Cant wait until next year!! GO RED SOX!!!

School is almost out.. part of me is actually excited to have them out but the rest of me thinks what the heck am I going to do with them all summer. I have signed them up for almost everything I could find that will keep them busy and playing. You know it is almost over when all they do at school is play and have fun, of course it all ended up being on the same day. First Preston had his field trip at the Washington Community Center, they got to swim and eat lunch there, Avree even got to join in. Aidan had school so he had to miss out. They had so much fun.

Then Avree had her preschool field trip at the Fire Station, Aidan got to join in on this one. The Fireman let them all try on the uniform and spray the fire hose. After it was done he sprayed the hose and let the kids run in it for a while. This is truly the best preschool ever, she does so much for the kids and isn't to bad on price either.

Then Preston had his first peewee baseball game and Avree had dance. Last year they played ball at the park in the grass and this year they actually use the ball diamonds. He has been in Little League but since it got over we decided to just let him keep going and play peewee.

Then right after our peewee game and dance we headed to the last game of the season for Little League. Preston had such a good time playing on this team. He had a great coach and lots of friends on the team. This league plays with machine pitch so it took a couple games to get used to it but he does a great job now. It is kinda sad to see it over. Now on to summer camps, swim lessons, and whatever else comes our way, hopefully a vacation can get squeezed in there.

And of course, Yummy Snowcones to top off the night.

Happy Mothers Day

I had such a great Mothers Day this year. On Saturday we got to go over to Ryan's grandmas house for lunch with his mom and some aunts and cousins, it was really fun with lots of yummy food. That night we went to a Blitz game with Kami and Brent it was tons of fun, even though they lost and they got in about 7 fights, they have won every game until Ryan decided to cheer for them, he is uninvited to future sporting events unless he cheers for the other team. But it was great company with lots of laughs.
Sunday I got to sleep in and got breakfast in bed, the kids made me some really cute cards. Preston's card says that I am the "best mom he could ever get right now" ha ha!! maybe he is just putting up with me for right now until his next mom comes along.

Aidan made me the cutest little cookie bouquet at preschool, he was so proud of it, he told me which cookies I could eat and then he ate the rest. I would much rather have cookies then real flowers.

I also got a new camera the kind with all the attachments and such I am so excited to start to try and take some good pictures.
I am so blessed to be the mom of my 3 kids, they always know how to put a smile on my face.

Its been awhile since I have blogged so I decided to throw all my pictures in one post. Earlier this month we got tickets to a Jazz game. We were 3 rows from the very top which was kinda scary but we had so much fun, we ate at Olive Garden before and then got to ride the Trax train over to the game.

Then Preston started Little League Baseball, his first practice he wasn't to sure if he liked it, it is machine pitch and the ball hit the bat at the bottom and made his entire body shake so he was a little nervous. After trying out a few bats he finally has it down and loves it, when he hits the ball he watches himself run (I think he thinks that makes him go faster) and when he gets on first base he waves and does that champion thing with his arms in the air and has to give whoever is near first base a high five even if they are not on our team. He is a really good infielder and can stop the ball pretty good, if only we could talk him out of being catcher things would be great. The catchers uniform doesn't fit him and he can't see or walk in it but the thought of being able to touch the ball every time is all he thinks about. GO RED SOX!!!!

This year we took Avree to Jumpin Jacks for her birthday. We had a great time. With friends and cousins we had 16 kids there. CRAZY!! It was perfect really. We let them jump for awhile and then headed up to the party room for pizza and cake. The kids were so exausted they hardly even talked or moved it was great!!!.

This picture just makes me laugh so I had to post it. He must take after his dad with that cheesy smile.

Avree and her presents.. She really got spoiled this year but she says that she loves everything she got and it is all her favorite.

All the kids just laughed and laughed the whole time. I cant believe how they can climb up those slides over and over again. I was dying after one time. I am surprised I even got any pictures. By the time my camera took the picture it was usually just a leg or half of a head. It might be time for a high speed camera.

I can't believe my little girl is 5. She just seems to little to be 5 and going into Kindergarten. She is such a sweet girl.. she is such a good friend and sister. It makes me sad to see her get bigger and excited all at the same time. She is such a good example for all of us. We love her so much and couldn't imagine life without her. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVREE!!!!

So last night Angie and I took the kids on a date. We went to dinner at Cafe Rio and then bowling. It was a lot of fun. Aidan thought he was big enough to carry his own ball and ended up dropping it on his toe, he was pretty upset about it but I think his toe is going to make it. It seemed to take forever to get through one game, Avree and Aidans ball rolled so slow, Aidans even stopped once and the guy had to go down and push it in. Well as you can see......... I WON!! I have been practicing on the Wii so I was pretty sure I had a chance. Ok so I barely won against two 7 year olds, a 4 and 3 year old and Angie.

Just had to share a funny story about Preston. In school they have been learning to write letters, and they get to write letters to different people in their class. Their assignment was to write a letter with a date, greeting, body, and the closing. Preston chose to write a letter to his friend Jayden (who is part Korean). Here is his letter..................

This year for Christmas Santa brought the kids a 4-wheeler. We had so much fun. Preston thought he was a pro and was standing up and sticking out his leg. Aidan thought it was pretty cool and decided to try the same tricks. Avree even got on there and took off by herself, the helmet was too big and every time she hit a bump it went up and covered her eyes. I don't think she knew that she couldn't see because she just kept laughing and going in circles. It was a great day and we can't wait to get back out there for more tricks.

This last week we went up to Pine Valley and went sledding with Grandma and Grandpa. It was so much fun. The kids had a blast. We found a hill right up the street from the cabin and had it all to ourselves. Grandma had hot chocolate and soup ready for us when we got back. We cant wait to get up there again.

Avree had her dance recital the other day. She did such a good job. She loves dancing and dressing up. All the kids were losing their feathers so the floor and stage were covered. It was pretty funny.

This year we went to see Santa at the Jubilee of trees. The kids were really excited to see him. (I know you cant tell by the blank look on their faces) But they really did have fun.

This year I put my tree up early. I always wait until the day after Thanksgiving because that is the rule but I went out and bought new ornaments and was too excited to put it up. So here it is... not as cute as it was in my head (which was really cute) but it is up and I do like it. Next year I will have to do more but it is a good start. It looks really cute in the dark with the lights on. Dont all trees?

This last weekend decorated Gingerbread Cookies. We like to do something each year. We have done the train and the house but thought it would be fun for them to get to decorate their own cookies this year. I think we ate more candy then made it on the cookies and the icing was delicious (I ate most of it).

Vegas Air Show

About a month ago we got to go down to vegas to the air show. The kids had tons of fun seeing the airplanes even though they were very loud and scared me to death every time they flew over our heads. Avree and Aidan got their faces painted and Preston got to get in the boxing ring with his cousin Jordan, I dont think they ever hit each other because they were laughing so hard. We rode the train around and got to see all the booths. It was really fun and the kids cant wait until next year.

Black Friday Birthday Fun!!

Ok, here is how I spent my birthday so we woke up and hit the stores by 4:30am, we took our posts Angie and I were in toys, Jamie was in electronics, Natalie was in charge of sheets and I have no idea where Robin and Carri were but I am sure they were at their assigned spot then we waited for 5am to come. People were making plans for what they were grabbing and making deals with people on the other side. A couple of times people tried to start a little early but the workers stopped it. Finally it was time my heart was pumping and I was ready it got really quiet and then boom everyone started grabbing. IT WAS GREAT!! I loved it, the pushing the shoving the crashing into carts. TOTALLY WORTH IT! Then we went to Target, there the lines were wrapped around the entire store we grabbed our stuff and made our way to the line, some people waiting over an hour that is just crazy, will we wait in that line? Well I wont mention any names but someone I was with decided to just move in line (most of you probably know who that is). No one even saw her, I was sure a brawl was going to start so I pretended to check out movies and not to know her until I was sure she was safe and no one was going to take her out then I pulled the old "Oh there you are" and moved in line. So pretty much we waited about 5 minutes in line. Sorry to everyone else who had to wait. Then off to the mall and then out to breakfast, krumpets, old navy and then hit the craft show. It was a great birthday it was fun to spend the entire day with my family and friends. Angie and Natalie.... thanks for splitting the cost of the .88 peppermint sticks for my birthday you guys went way out.. (Natalie says you still haven't paid your .44) But thanks to everyone who got up early with me. I love you all..

So I don't know what happened to her.. I am definately not the girly girl type but somehow I was given one. I took the camera to Ryans work party and all I heard all night was take a picture of me.

She kept doing different poses. Notice there are no pictures of the party. Oh well at least she is cute!

Preston had his 7th Birthday Party at LaserMania. He had so much fun. 9 boys and 1 girl it was a bit crazy. They let me go in the room to take pictures but it was so dark I just pointed my camera and clicked. Most of them had a goofy face probably because of the intense job of olding the guns and shooting each other! The vests and guns were bigger then they were.
